BUILDPEACE is a campaign for the revitalization of inner city
communities across America through the facilitation of Fine Arts and
Entrepreneurial mentoringOur Mission:
The mission of Project BUILDPEACE is utilize the collective efforts of local and national artists, businesses, organizations, students and volunteers, in order to establish a platform and a safe haven for youth and young adults to gain cultural development through the facilitation and the expression of Fine Arts.
The Demographics:
According to the records at the Census Bureau for Baltimore, there are over 100,000 young people under the age of 18 years old in the immediate district of Baltimore MD population.
Project BUILDPEACE is designed to provide an opportunity for the youth population of Baltimore city and abroad, to improve upon the education process by facilitating the Fine Arts in a centralized location as well as tour communities, schools and recreation facilities. An organized showcase of talent and dramatizations about community issues will be a campaign for peace and education through entertaining yet informative productions for live performance and recorded for documentary.
Our Target participants:
Project BUILDPEACE is a campaign, research has been established since 2006. The launch of this campaign is currently scheduled to begin the summer of 2009.
A series of events including third party fundraisers
The targeted participant would be any child or young adult in the community who has a genuine interest or talent that would fall under the umbrella of Fine arts and entrepreneurship in the arts, sciences of beauty music, film production, marketing and multi- media industries.
We will be specifically targeting the children of families who can not afford the private lessons and training in the arts to be sure that they are afforded the equal opportunity granted to the families in a higher income bracket.
Our Goal:
It is our goal to launch this campaign in the Baltimore, Maryland inner city communities, then spread the message of Project BUILDPEACE/ Stop the Violence across the United States, utilizing Music and Fine Arts productions and promotions.
